How We Measure
These figures are computed from a rolling sample of 10,000+ real user extractions across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook over the last 90 days.
Each extraction is scored against a ground-truth dataset of verified business listings. A result counts as accurate only if the place name, address, and coordinates all match.
We update this page monthly. If a metric changes, we show the trend and explain what we changed in our pipeline.

The Technical Story
Extracting a location from a social media post is harder than it looks. Here's how we optimized our AI to get it right.
The Challenge: Ambiguous Signals
A single TikTok caption might mention a city, a neighborhood, a restaurant name, and a hashtag — sometimes all at once, and sometimes with none of them matching the pinned location. Early versions of our extractor frequently confused the caption's mention with the actual venue.
Our Solution: Multi-Source Cross-Referencing
We built a pipeline that parses captions, visual cues, and metadata, then cross-references candidate names against multiple APIs. A place is only added to your list after it passes a verification step confirming it exists, is open, and is correctly categorized. This is why our accuracy stays above 98% even on noisy, low-context posts.
Continuous Improvement
Every extraction that fails verification is logged and reviewed. We use those edge cases to retrain and refine our models, which is why our accuracy has climbed from 94.1% at launch to 98.7% today.
